1. 사람들이 쓰레기를 아무데나 버리지 말아야 한다고 생각한다.

I thought that people should not throw garbage away anywhere.

- throw something away : (더 이상 필요 없는 것을) 버리다[없애다]

ex) You can throw it away.

2. 백화점에 가는데 약 한 시간이 걸렸다.

It took me about an hour to go to the department store.

3. 그 일을 끝내는 데 1주일이 걸렸다.

It took me a week to finish the work.

4. 단소 부는 법을 배우는데 끈기가 필요했다.

I took patience to learn how to play the danso.

- take : 필요하다, 있어야 하다, (얼마의 시간이) 걸리다 등 매우 많은 뜻이 있음!

It took me a long time.

It took me 2 years and 6 months.

- It cost me : ~(비용) 들다

ex)

It cost me an arm and a leg. : 엄청난 거금이 들었다.

It cost me more than I expected to fix the car.
