# Day 10

1. 모기들이 너무 성가시게 해서 잠을 잘 수가 없었다.

The mosquitoes were so annoying that I couldn't sleep well.

2. 그는 아픈 것 같았다.

He seemed to be sick.

It seemed that he was sick.

- seem

(~인, ~하는것 처럼) 보이다, ~인[하는]것 같다

1) seem + 형용사 / 명사

ex. 

You seem sad.

You seem a young lady.

2) seem to + 동사원형

ex.

She seems to be ok.

3) seem like + 명사/ It seems to like + 명사

ex.

She seems like a nice woman.

3. 그는 전에 어디에선가 본 사람 같았다.

He seemed to be a person who I had seen somewhere before.

4. 그는 파티에 오지 않을 것 같았다.

He wasn't likely to come to the party.

- be likely to : ~할 가능성이 크다, ~할 것 같다 "80~90% 가능성"

ex) She will not be likely to able to work full time.

- It is likely that S+V : ~일  것 같다.

ex) It is likely that she will come.

5. 그 남자는 내가 원하는 것은 무엇이든지 다 해줄 것 같았다.

I thought he would do whatever I wanted.

- think : ~라고 생각하다, ~일 것 같다, ~라고 믿다

ex) I thought him kind and generous.

+) seem, be likely to, think

seem -> 내가 본것

be likely to -> 느낌, 예상, 가능성

think -> 둘다, 아무곳에
